Suggestions to make efficient use of computer lab time

Seating Charts

If you plan to be in the lab for extended time seating charts can be helpful managing the students in the lab. We have diagrams of the lab that can be used to create the seating chart

Creating Drop Folders

If the students are going to be creating work that will be presented or graded as a group, we can create a drop folder for the class. All the final work will then be available in a common location. This is handy for power point presentations or other work that is collaborative. Please give 5 days notice so we can create the folders and give rights to the appropriate students.

Web quests or Web Searches

If you plan to have students go to a series of web pages for an assignment, you can create a word document with the links on the document. We then can place the word document in the start menu. The students then can use the word document to navigate to the required sites. This alleviates miss spellings. ETC.  You can also create the link page from of your teacher webpage. This will allow access to the links from home or any computer
