Advisor's Corner
|
Nick Bonds. I am very excited to be teaching again in
the high school arena after a two year hiatus. I bring with me 8 years
of teaching experience, 7 in high school and 1 at the Junior High
level. I also have 5 years experience as a SkillsUSA advisor.
SkillsUSA Robotics & Engineering is a new club on the
Greenway Campus for the 2011-2013 School year. We are focusing the
majority of our attention this year on the VEX Robotics competition
which has a very sharp learning curve. The students are doing great!
We will also be concentrating on raising needed funds to be
able to be competitive. We are in need of a practice arena which cost
$1200 and an additional $1200 for upgrades required to compete. If you
are able to give us a hand or know someone that is, we would appreciate
any amount of your tax credit that you would like to donate. You may
donate on the district website.

consider helping these students to experience applied math, science,
and problem solving.
