B-BALL DANCE
LINE TRYOUTS
~ The Greenway Basket-Ball Dance Line performers are technically trained dancers~
Auditioning dancers should have experience in a variety of dance styles who feel that they are able to handle intense practice and performance schedules.
· Practices will be held after school from 3:00pm-5:00pm
· Performances will be all the home basket ball games for both the
girls and boys basket ball games
* Chosen Dance Line members will need to purchase white tennis shoes and tan oxford jazz shoes. Uniforms will be provided
Tryouts will be on:
Monday October 6th
In the Dance Bldg. 1400
from 5:00pm-7:00pm
Come prepared in proper dance attire. Be sure to bring water and a snack. – there will be a short break.
Auditioners will be judged on:
· Flexibility – right and left splits and kicks.
· Balance and Agility - various turn and leap combinations with jazz and ballet turns, pique turns, chaine turns, tuck jumps, split leaps, and star jumps.
· Memory Skills - A technical dance combination and hip-hop combination taught at the tryouts.
· Overall Appearance and Projection – posture, confidence, facials, and attire.
