Mr Yoder teaches Choir and Math
Greenway High School Vocal Ensemble has performed throughout the state. Performances have been at Suns, Roadrunners, and Diamondback Games, Symphony of the West Valley concerts, Glendale Glitters, Peoria “Holidaze,” Arizona State Capitol, churches, care centers and various other venues. The choir enjoyed recording a performance in the Fox 10 studios that aired on Christmas morning. The group tours every year and have performed numerous times at Disneyland. In 2002, they performed for an Arizona Music Educators’ State Convention. Vocal Ensemble has received superior ratings at festivals and received personal invitations from foreign governments to sing abroad.
Mr. Jeff Yoder is in his 17th year at Greenway High School. He received his B.S. in music education from Grand Canyon College and his M.M. in choral conducting from Arizona State University. Before coming to Greenway High School, Mr. Yoder taught music at Glendale High School for 7 years. Mr. Yoder is an active accompanist, director and clinician in the Phoenix area. He has served as Southwest Region Vocal Chairperson and the Choral Director’s Association Vice President for High School Activities. He received Greenway High's "Achievement Above All" award for the 2003-04 school year, the O.M. Hartsell Award from the Arizona Music Teachers’ Association and has been named to Who’s Who Among American Teachers. He traveled for nine years, every other year, with the Arizona Ambassadors to Europe as a co-director.
