Students in this class are completing the 2nd semester of Algebra 1 in the fall and then progressing to the 1st semster of Geometry in the spring. 

All students in my class need a scientific calculator.  I recommend the Texas Instruments 30XIIS.  It is a two-line display calculator that will cost about $14 and will work for Algebra 1 and Geometry.  Other models that will also provide all the necessary functions for algebra and geometry are the TI30Xa and the TI34.

Parents: Please know that you have your own login and password, separate from your student's.  If you log in with your own password, you will have access to notes from the teacher that may have been posted specifically for your child; you will not be able to see these notes if you use your student's ID and birthdate.  Due to privacy laws, parents must come in to the counseling office on campus and show ID to receive their own login and password.  Students will be provided directions for logging in in class. 

I update grades when we have finished a unit and have taken the test for that unit.  I will total all homework points for the unit at that time and will enter the test grade and the homework points at the same time.  In the event of a mid-unit quiz, I will enter the quiz scores the day following the quiz.  Please contact me if you have any questions about your child's grade.
