On December 14th, counselors will be making presentations in the 10th grade biology classes to prepare students for their Education Career Action Plan (ECAP) review in January.  The presentation will highlight new course offerings for the 2010-11 school year and review graduation requirements.

Parents of 10th grade students are encouraged to join the counselors for an evening presentation of the ECAP process, graduation requirements, and course offerings.  The parent information night will be held in the Greenway auditorium on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

In the first weeks of January, counselors will be meeting individually with each sophomore to review their ECAP course plan.  This plan addresses not only graduation and course requirements but also future career goals, post-secondary education plans, extra-curricular involvement, community service and scholarship opportunities.  The ECAP will be sent home with the student for parent review and signature.  All signed ECAP documents must be returned to the counselor prior to January 29, 2010.  After this January deadline, requests for course changes will require a schedule change form signed by a parent as well as administrative approval and are dependent on program availability.
