Rachel’s Challenge

Character building program coming to Greenway
Posted on 2010/01/04

Rachel Scott was the first student to be killed in the Columbine High School shooting, and since that time, her family has created a program based on her life that has inspired school-age children nationally to make a difference in their communities.  It is a character-building program that outlines Rachel’s mission in her own life: to change the world by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion.

This assembly is in line with what Greenway hopes to implement through our school goal this year.  We are attempting to create a climate on the Greenway campus that fosters respect and compassion towards others, which will reduce incidents of intimidation or harassment.  We are excited to bring this program to our students, and look forward to hosting this assembly at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 12th.  If you would like more information about this program, please visit the Rachel’s Challenge website at www.rachelschallenge.org
