Be a Teacher Day at Greenway!

Last week, we celebrated FCCLA’s nationwide Be a Teacher Da initiative at Greenway! One of our Hospitality students, Steven Scholl, who serves as the FCCLA State President, stepped into the role of teacher and led the class for the day.

As part of the experience, Steven demonstrated how to make breakfast sandwiches, walking his classmates through each step of the process from start to finish. He took the lead in the classroom, explained the process, demonstrated the necessary skills, and guided his classmates through the lesson.

Be a Teacher Day  encourages students to explore the teaching profession and discover the impact educators have on their communities. By leading the class, Steven had the opportunity to put his leadership, communication, and teaching skills into action while sharing his Hospitality knowledge with his peers.

We are proud of Steven for representing FCCLA, sharing his knowledge, and taking on the responsibility of teaching for the day! Experiences like these highlight the hands-on learning opportunities available through our Hospitality program and the many ways our students are preparing for future success.
