Greenway High School was established as part of the Glendale Union High School District in 1972. Greenway is part of the College Board’s 2013 National Advanced Placement District of the Year and has been continuously listed on U.S. News & World Report's Best High School Ranking list. Greenway High School was named after John Campbell Greenway, a mining engineer, and U.S. Senator. In 2012, Greenway underwent new construction to rebuild classrooms. The construction was generated using funds from a 2011 voter-approved bond. Greenway High School is located in Phoenix, AZ off 39th Avenue and Greenway Road.
