Greenway High School was established as part of the Glendale Union High School District in 1973. Along with being ranked among the best high schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, Greenway is part of the College Board’s 2013 National Advanced Placement District of the Year. In addition, Greenway is rated an “A” school by the Arizona Department of Education. Greenway High School was named after John Campbell Greenway, a mining engineer and U.S. Senator. In 2012, Greenway underwent new construction to rebuild classrooms. The construction was generated using funds from a 2011 bond. Greenway High School is located in Phoenix off 39th Avenue and Greenway Road.
